I think I should try these settings next time around for sharper photos. I was having trouble yesterday switching quickly between small birds nearby under the canopy and the eagle out there above the water. I had tried fixing ISO at 320 with +0.67 exposure compensation, but ISO 800-1000 ought to be good enough for raptors as well as birds in poor light with an f/5.6 maximum aperture on my lens.
